Blue Sky Next Steps

Some people are asking what the NEXT STEPS are in terms of both the Storrs and Coventry properties are... here are a few:

1. KEEP PRAYING!!!!
   This really is the foundation of what we do! Pray for our fundraising and donors, pray for our leaders as we go and raise capital, pray for the zoning process, pray for our neighbors and the community we are a part of!

2. GIVE SACRIFICIALLY!!!!
   I know we keep saying this, but in order to move forward we really do need to all be giving sacrificially above and beyond our regular giving. For those of you who have now seen the plan, you know what incredible ministry potential is there! The 150 DAY CHALLENGE is all about making sure we have the resources to keep this process moving forward so that we can close on the Coventry property this Spring and make an offer on the Storrs property -- as well as launch the Manchester campus and support Project: AIDS. I know some folks who, after last night, are already talking about increasing (in some cases doubling!) their 150 DAY CHALLENGE PLEDGE... whether you want to increase your pledge, give for the first time, or whatever, you can make a gift online at stpaulswired.org/give

3. ENTITLEMENT.
   The next practical step is to take the Coventry Master Plan and hand it over to the engineers so they can start laying out some of the site issues (septic, runoff, etc) as we get ready to seek approval from the Town of Coventry for the project. Our goal is to submit applications in January. So there will be lots of behind the scenses stuff happening as we get ready for that!

4. INVEST & INVITE.
   All of this is really about us living out God's call on our lives as a church! We want to share God's love with our friends, neighbors, family, and co-workers. Building and properties are never replacements for simply investing in people and inviting them to encounter God. What we want to build are great tools for this, but let us never forget the basic strategy God has given us: relationships. So pray for people, invest in people, invite people! Start thinking about and praying for who you will invite to Imagine Christmas this year or our Hope for Christmas Concert. Invite people this Sunday! Invest in our community!
