Monday SOC
My Monday Morning "Stream of Consciousness"...
I am continually blown away at what God is doing these days at St. Paul's. I hope and pray that all our members and volunteers who work so hard get a sense of HOW BIG what God is doing here is and experience that joy!
My fear is that people get caught up in all the hard work and miss that they are truly in the middle of a miracle!
Sunday was our BIGGEST WEEKEND ATTENDANCE EVER on a non-holiday weekend!
14% of our attendance on Sunday were kids and students in Grades 10 and under. Two interesting things: that is actually a lot of kids for us, and in comparison to many churches that is a pretty small percentage. I know some churches who run 30-40% kids.
We are 60% single and 60% under 30, so that might explain things...
I am really excited to see the growth across all our demographics: college, young professional, young families, empty-nesters... it is awesome!
Sometimes people ask: yes, our vision was always to be a multi-generational church. Our goal is to maintain about 40-50% Undergrad/Grad students at our Storrs Campus. My guess is that we are in that range.
A few things I am increasingly excited about: our small groups, our Manchester campus, video teaching, our music ministry, our volunteers, the 150 Day Challenge!
I am also very excited about our current message series and how people are responding!
We now have video messages on our website... check it out here.
If you haven't signed up for a small group yet, you should!
We still need a lot more volunteers on Sundays! The biggest needs right now are for bus drivers, cleaning crew, nursery volunteers, and cleaning crew. To volunteer for any of these, go to the iServe page.
Interested in missions? Check out our Project: Panama and Project: New Orleans, both coming up!
Great concert Friday night in Greenwich... and free! I'm going, are you?
That's it for now... would love to hear your thoughts from the weekend at St. Paul's. Happy Monday!
