I Love Fall!

• I'm a big fan of fall. It's sad to see summer go sometimes but the changing colors of the leaves and the rest of God's beautiful creations that come with the season change are wonderful.

• Honestly the smell and sights of fall in New England is overwhelming - I love it. I had to bite my tongue to keep from singing worship on the way to class. : ) Crunchy leaves are my favorite.

• See, I love and hate fall. I'm a tee shirt and jeans kinda guy so fall is perfect clothing-wise for me. I love the leaves changing, I LOVE Thanksgiving. But I've always struggled with seasonal depression. Things are getting darker, drearier, and colder. It always bums me out. Plus, it has always been a season of reflection for me. This is good and bad.
  

  The battle between how far we've come and how far we have to go is always present but for me personally it seems to poke its head up around mid October. Haha. But, looking back over this past year I see so many things I can look to to be thankful and grateful for. I have become more involved in a church than I ever have been in the past. In fact, 2 churches. I have made numerous new friends and found a true calling for some of the gifts God has given me. In a life that is so often filled with searching it is nice to have moments of "Oh, this is what i should be doing!"
  

  So, as we enter the brisk entryway into autumn and leave the sweet rays of summer, I can only imagine what wondrous growth and opportunity awaits me in the coming seasons.
