Great Discipleship Class Today!

We taught our CLASS 201: MATURITY IN CHRIST this morning for the first time at St. Paul's and I thought it went great. Vince did a great job pulling the class together, we had a great turnout and I thought it was great material--plus lunch together, which is always really fun!
The class covers spiritual formation -- what is is, how to create a plan for your own spiritual growth and development, as well as how to develop specific spiritual habits. We looked in-depth at four spiritual habits: scripture, prayer, generosity, and sabbath/solitude. While there are a lot of different spiritual practices, these four are essential to every Christian's growth.
It is exciting to see people identify and commit to next steps in their spiritual growth. Some people even took the step of taking the "Tithe Challenge", which I think is a very big deal!
We offer four core discipleship classes and our hope is that everyone at St. Paul's will go through all four. We teach them monthly and our next class will be CLASS 301: SHAPED FOR MINISTRY on December 6th. Mark your calendars now!
