Praying for Missions

Rob Wegner and the team from Granger Community Church are getting ready to kick-off their Missions Coaching/Training program --- an 18 month deal that pulls together 18 missions leaders from local churches across the country committed to the idea that the local church should be setting the pace in missions.

On his blog, Rob describes this kind of church-centered missions this way:

"Quite simply, it's the local church on mission,
locally and globally. In the past, local churches
have primarily been in "support" mode,
simply supporting the mission vision of
 other organizations. EnterMission coaching is
 a gathering of like-minded churches
who want to unleash their church, locally
and globally on mission, not pay someone
else to do it for them."

Oh... did I mention that Bob Jeram, our Director of Missions, is one of the 18 folks part of this cutting-edge experiment? Yep! I don't know if Bob will be the only volunteer amongst the group, but my guess is that he will be.

Be praying for Bob and Rob and and everyone out there the next few days... excited to hear a full report when Bob gets back!
