Prayers & Help Needed

We ask your prayers and possibly, intervention for the following:

Steve, a good friend of mine, is a 43-yr.old. area resident who has been battling renal failure for the past seven years, along with a 20 year history of an immune system disorder. Until last year, he was able to work full time, in addition to holding volunteer positions with his local Episcopal church and other prayer and service groups. However, last year his renal failure worsened, and he was forced to cease working. He still manages to volunteer and give service to the community. After many years of dialysis, he has finally finally been placed on the national and regional kidney transplant list. He has the prayers and support of his friends, family and church, but with his blessing, I am asking for your prayers and support also.

And knowing that miracles do happen, I pray also that you or someone you know might want to offer the gift of life to this deserving young man by donating a healthy kidney. The transplant unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital is managing his care. Potential donors must be either A or O blood type, must be tested for a viable match, and all expenses for the donor are covered under Steve's medical insurance. If you can help, please call me at 933-0109, and I will get you in contact with his transplant coordinator. Thank you and God bless you!
