Stephen P. Gilbert is a licensed marriage and family therapist and an ordained minister. Prior to entering private practice he was Director of the Southern Connecticut Christian Counseling Center in Fairfield, CT where he worked along side local churches providing quality mental health care that is integrative to Christian faith and spirituality.

A gifted communicator, Steve preached and conducted seminars to local churches and ministries on parenting, divorce recovery, anger management, addiction, personal transformation, spiritual development, life stage transitions, and healthy ministry marriages. He also helped lead and facilitate a county wide pastor’s support group.

Steve holds a BS from Ohio State University and both an MS in Marital and Family Therapy and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He is married and has a daughter and son. Prior to entering a ministry of counseling, Steve spent 14 years on staff with the youth ministry Young Life and was the Regional Director for Connecticut and Long Island.

Steve offers counseling to individuals, couples, and families, providing treatment for depression and anxiety, adolescents and their families, premarital counseling, marital therapy, addiction and codependency, stress management, life transitions and adjustments, relationship issues, sexuality issues, personal transformation, inner healing, and spiritual direction.
