Why are Small Groups important?:
We can’t follow Jesus alone. We need friends for encouragement and support. Small groups are the best environments for fostering friendships in the church.
The church is the family of God. That's why it is so important to get connected to the St. Paul’s family by joining a Small Group. Small groups are where real life and real issues can be discussed. It is a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
Our Small Groups are: “Closed, Time-Bound, Trimester”
- “Closed” Small Groups:
After a few week of the semester, no new members join. The reason is simple: We want to avoid having a different group of strangers meeting in the same place each week. Relationships take time and commitment to develop, so eventually it makes sense to solidify the group and wait to accept new members until the next semester.
- “Time Bound” Small Groups:
Commitment to a group is necessary, but we don’t want people to commit to a group for the rest of their lives. Instead, we ask them to commit to a 6 – 10 week small group.
- “Trimester” Small Groups:
Three times a year (September, February, and June) groups begin. All groups are open at this time and everyone in the church is encouraged to join a group.
